I go through at least two pairs a year, and knowing your stuff when going to buy running shoes definitely makes a HUGE difference.

Talk about ignorance. 99% of runners will cheer just as loud for a hard fought 16 min mile as a hard fought 8 min one.

The other % 1 are just a holes.

I think a 16 minute mile is awesome! Whether it’s 16 minutes or 5 minutes, it’s still a mile, and one more than I have run today! :P

Gurl, congrats on your mile and if anyone says any different, they can kindly shut their dirtholes and get back in the ground.

Thanks guys!

"And we are running at 9000 feet, down a road that was probably a 7, 8, or 9 per cent grade, in a 32-degree corn snow blizzard where the snow was blowing horizontally. And corn snow is the kind where it hits and freezes. And he was going along like crazy. He was in rare form. Pissin’ and moanin’ and complaining about everything in the universe. And I turned to him and said "Pre, do you realize no one in the world is training as hard as we are right now." He shut up. He didn’t say another word the entire run." -Frank Shorter
